Potential Host

Intro:

Many of you probably don't know me, and those of you who do don't know too much about me.

I guess I'll start with my name. Hey, I'm Matt. I'm a 19 year old from the West Coast who spends most of his time at college or on the computer. I typically don't play MMOs, since I could never justify paying a monthly subscription. Hell, I won't even pay for a yearly Xbox Live subscription. I usually spend my time playing Valve-based FPS games and mods such as Garry's Mod, Counter-Strike: Source Zombie Mod, The Specialists, and Zombie Panic: Source (yes I am a zombie whore :X). Last weekend I saw that Guild Wars: Trilogy was on sale on Steam, so I decided to finally check it out. So far, I am pretty impressed. I've had a much more fulfilling experience on GW than I ever did on other free MMOs such as Rappelz.

That pretty much sums up my gaming career. The other part of my time on the computer is spent making stuff. I'm a pretty experienced junior programmer, with knowledge from various languages such as Java, C++, Pawn, PHP, MySQL, and LUA. I also have a good amount of experience working with websites and the such. I currently own three domains, and of course the hosting along with it.

Which brings me to my point...

The Suggestion:

The hosting I have is mainly used to store personal files in a place I know will be there (since I am paying for it). I used to run gaming communities off of it, but have since stopped due to other commitments I have now. Running a server community takes a lot of time, especially when you strive to be at the top.

So here it goes. What I am offering to you is hosting. I have so much free bandwidth and space that I guarantee you would never fill up. It's no loss to me, since I already pay for the hosting.

The hosting would be under a subdomain of your choice, which would be under either ***.schmonet.com or ***.role-play.org. My third domain is primarily a studio site, which wouldn't really fit well. xD

You would have a good amount of space. I can spare a good 20GB of space. Don't worry about bandwidth, I have 5TB total. It's not going anywhere any time soon.

Along with that, the site has full PHP and MySQL support. So you can put your own forum installation on there and other goodies you want. If you don't know how, I can always help set things up.

There is just one rule. If you do go forward with this, please don't put any illegal content on the site. My host doesn't like that sort of stuff going on.
