Guild / Alliance Chat Rules:

HAVE FUN -- chat in the ANF should be light-hearted.

DON'T BE A JERK -- although, sometimes, it helps to air out your difference and let your keyboard take the physical abuse. Ok, so maybe being a jerk is okay.

DON'T BEG -- this is one of the two rules that is actually a rule, NOT A SUGGESTION!

DON'T SPAM -- this is rule number two.
If you ask for help and nobody answers either people don't know, or they're busy. Ask again later, not a half dozen more times on the spot.
If you ask for help and someone says wiki it, then wiki it. We all learned something from wiki, it's a great resource... and we're not robots that know EVERYTHING. We wiki our own questions too.

DON'T BE OFFENDED -- the world has gotten so PC, that we have a hard time laughing at ourselves. The ANF personally feels that we are all human. This is our escape from having to watch what we say at the office, etc. etc.

BE RESPECTFUL -- in the rare event that someone is truly offended, they should say "I'm truly offended by that, please stop." If they do that, please stop. Take the subject and change it or take it to private chat. Hopefully, if you're in the ANF, you have a pretty think skin. Be warned: If the other person doesn't say "I'm truly offended, please stop." We will assume that you are talking smack in a fun way and all is fair in love and Guild Wars. (This suggestion does not apply if you are making fun of a Derv).

NOTE TO PARENTS!
Occasionally some of the more colorful language will slip through, welcome to the internet. Guild Wars has chat filters for a reason, use them. If you need help setting them up, just ask.
Also parents, we don't all know who the children in the alliance are. Realize that we are mainly older teens and adults and our discussions are of that age group. If your child is online please let us know on the alliance channel.

Just because you know all the fancy 4 lettered F-Words and you know quite a bit about the other gender's anatomy doesn't mean you should tell every 5 year old that might be listening in to alliance chat.
